Most made-to-measure shirt services in Malaysia start with a standard block and grade it up or down to fit. We do it the other way around. During your first appointment, Ridzuan Hashim drafts a fresh pattern for your torso from scratch, measuring over twenty points and observing how your shoulders sit in a relaxed stance. The pattern is archived under your name, so every future reorder begins from the shape of your body rather than from a size chart.

This is why Lanwin shirts do not suffer from the classic made-to-measure problems. There is no gaping at the back yoke when you reach across a desk, no bunching at the waist when you sit in an LRT seat, and no pulling at the shoulder seam when you raise an arm to hail a Grab outside Paradigm Mall.

What a Drafted Pattern Catches

During the fitting we look at collar height against your neck length, sleeve pitch against your natural arm hang, and the drop between chest and waist so the shirt tucks cleanly. Small changes at this stage define how a shirt wears for years.

Cottons Curated for a Tropical Climate

We keep more than two hundred cloth bunches in the studio, almost all of them from Thomas Mason, Albini, and Canclini. These are the same Italian and British mills that supply the world’s finest luxury houses, and the bunches we stock are filtered aggressively for the Klang Valley climate. Tropical poplins in 100 and 120 two-ply are our workhorse for daily corporate shirts. They breathe under a jacket, resist the worst of the humidity, and press back to crisp condition with a simple steam.

Voile and batiste weaves are the go-to for executives who walk outdoors between meetings in Section 14 and Damansara Uptown during the hottest months. They feel almost weightless while still holding shape under a tie.

Royal oxford and pinpoint fabrics have their place in freezing boardrooms where the air conditioning is set punishingly low. They carry a little more body than poplin and keep their line through a long-haul regional flight from KLIA.

Premium linen and linen-cotton blends suit relaxed Friday rotations, groomsmen packages, and destination weddings in Pangkor or Langkawi. We build these with unlined soft collars and a more generous body so they move with you.

Collars, Cuffs, and the Details That Age Well

Every Lanwin custom shirt is assembled with mother of pearl buttons, split yokes for shoulder balance, and a hand-set collar that keeps its shape after repeated pressing. The details are yours to choose:

• Cuff options including single barrel, double-button rounded, and French cuffs for cufflinks.
